Hand-forged Byzantine-style saber, made from SIRC60 high-carbon steel. This piece is inspired by the traditional Byzantine Paramerion and Spathion, combining a curved blade with a simple, functional design.
Blade:
The 27-inch blade is hand-forged from SIRC60 steel and heat-treated for strength and durability. The blade is carefully shaped and finished for a clean appearance and good handling.
Handle:
The approximately 5-inch handle is built over a solid hardwood core and wrapped in red leather for a secure and comfortable grip.
Guard & Pommel:
Both the guard and pommel are handmade from bronze, giving the saber a solid feel and a warm contrast against the steel and red leather.
Scabbard:
The custom hardwood scabbard is wrapped in matching red leather and made specifically to fit the sword.
Handling:
The saber is balanced for comfortable single-hand use, with an emphasis on being quick and responsive in the hand.
This is a completely handmade piece, with the blade, fittings, handle, and scabbard made and finished individually.
